Katie May is an independent country singer-songwriter based in Manhattan, Kansas, known for a clear, feminine country voice. Born and raised in Wisconsin, she has steadily expanded her touring footprint across Texas, Oklahoma, Missouri, Arkansas, Tennessee, Nebraska, Iowa, Indiana, Minnesota, as well as California markets including Monterey, Napa Valley, and the Palo Alto area, sharing stages with national and regional touring artists. Her music blends traditional country influences with a modern edge, bringing an authentic Midwest feel to every performance.
Whether performing as a duo with lead guitarist Jed Wymore or with her full band, Katie delivers a polished, engaging live show. Joined by Jed Wymore on lead guitar, Kris Hitchman on bass, and Bobby Hapgood on drums, the band performs a mix of Katie's original music, available on all major streaming platforms, alongside a selection of well-loved 90s and current country favorites. Since forming in 2024, the band has steadily gained momentum, performing throughout the Midwest, South, and California while continuing to expand into new markets.
Katie has shared the stage with national and regional touring artists, including support for Emily Ann Roberts at Hoofbeat Country Fest 2026, where she performed on the festival lineup alongside artists including Jason Aldean, Kane Brown, Bailey Zimmerman, and Terri Clark. She has also opened for Mike Ryan and Matt Stell and was selected to perform the official pre-show at Starlight Theatre in Kansas City for Darius Rucker.
